Byzantine era priest

So I looked at a lot of Indian type wedding dresses and byzantine era clothing, came up with this. Felt weird about the color the whole time but just ran with it. would love some suggestions

  1. Wow dude this is so cool! The rendering is really great, particularly how the light works inside her hood. The light really catches her gold sleep mask thing and falls off in a really believable way on her chest and the rest of the way down.

    Some feedback:
The gear on her back is cool, but how does it work? Is it just a flat latticework of those ornaments that is sort of strapped on?
Double-check your anatomy/proportions on her arms. Does she have sleeves, or white skin? If sleeves, should be wrinkles in the elbow crease. Her forearms look short and her hands look small.

Also, develop her prop as a secondary focal point, maybe? I'm drawn to the contrast in her face but that might be a cool secondary area to explore. Maybe she could be a priestess in the Azura universe, and her item could be the Censer of Azuror??

  2. Hey Sam, thanks for the crit man!

The gear on her back I was thinking it would be like flat latticework, but I did not look at reference for it, so thats why it looks so under-developed. Her arms, yea... look like they are shrunk haha.

I was thinking she had super pale-white skin. probably was not a good idea to make her skin the same color as her dress. I actually designed her as an elf with elf ears sticking out of her hood, which i took out like an hour or two before I finished cause I had nothign else elf-like in her design.

Also good call on the secondary focal point, I totally forgot to add a second and third focal point, so great reminder man

im right now designing a character from Azura, Crash Glinklock (weird last name) which i will post my thumbs soon
