Just trying to get in on the fun! Never played Final Fantasy, and I was much too lazy to look up the script. Naturally I took the shortcut and looked at online images of the main character, Cloud to get an idea what he looks like. But maybe it's a bad thing...cuz I can't seem to break away from that blond spiky hair of his...Anyway, here's some quick sketches of him. I'd like to spend more time and do a real redesign of him once I get a chance.
Don't look at the existing stuff! The goal is to decode the character's personality and backstory and come up with a new design that doesn't look like the existing one.
ReplyDeleteCloud is a badass, stand-offish mercenary. He's kind of the strong, silent, too-cool-for-school James Dean type. He was a super-soldier and has glowing eyes because he's been enhanced with magic/secret experiments.
But these are awesome, dont' get me wrong :)
